Thumbnail The Debenham Devils - the cycle speedway team of local boys aged from around 10 to 16 years. It was founded in the early 1970s. One of the founders of the team was Hav Wilkins, who ran the bicycle repair shop in the centre of Debenham (opposite Abbotts hardware shop). The cycle speedway track was near the west boundary of the recreation ground, near the (then newly-built) community centre. The colour photos were taken looking west, and the brick base of the old windmill can be seen behind the trees.
